About Me

My name is Dave. This is my blog. It’s been going for quite a bit longer than I originally thought it would, so that’s nice. It also has a larger reader base than I ever thought would happen. Also nice.

I don’t have many writing outlets in my life. I once dreamed of being an author or a journalist, however, like so many others with far more talent than myself, it seems my writing has been confined to this webpage that has a hand full of people look at it each day.

I believe in the English language, and hope that if the Ancient Aliens come back to scour the earth for relics of our existence some millions of years in the future, they can find, among iPhone texts and poorly constructed memes and Facebook statuses, this glimmer of light in the digital universe; that they realize not all linguistic sense was lost in the 21st century.

Seriously, though, the purpose of this blog is to, first and foremost, facilitate conversation. That’s really my only desire. I tend to have very polarizing opinions on things, and so I hope you can get past whether we agree or not and move on to figuring out what it is YOU believe, and why you believe it. If I can help facilitate those kinds of meaningful and important conversations in someone’s life, this blog has succeeded.
